Going where no G has gone before

So here we are. I've been toying with the idea of writing a blog for some time now. My mom suggested it back in April when we were packing up to move to Hawaii. It's now August. Oh well. They both start with "a" so probably it's OK. Instead of keeping a blog I've been keeping a journal of sorts. Not really a confess all my deep dark secrets journal, just a few notes here and there to remind me how I felt about a certain day or event. So I figured I could take those notes and spin a blog. It should be that simple, right?

The title of the blog refers to Guinness, my 9 lb Schnoodle, that has been to the ends of the earth and back with me. As corny as it sounds I don't know what I would have done without him these last few months. He was my constant. No matter what house, bed or city we were in G was right there with me. Snuggled up in a little ball with his head laying on my feet. He's been in the car, on a plane, in Dallas, Houston, Midland and Honolulu. You know for a dog that was found at lake in East Texas he's quite the jet setter. Probably he doesn't know that, but he's a pretty lucky dog. And I'm pretty lucky to have found him.

Well that's all I have for now. It's time for one of G's daily walks. He jumps and barks at me to let me know. But we will start anew tomorrow and I'll fill you in on how this whole adventure got started. I know you'll be waiting with bated breath.
